Jill MacKay is an accomplished designer, author and consultant. Her name is synonymous with innovation and inspiration. Jill MacKay designs product lines and licenses to national chain stores, manufacturers and television retailers. Jill is perhaps best known for having been the jewelry designer for the daytime drama The Guiding Light, and for her work on Paramount Studio’s Star Trek: The Next Generation. In addition, Jill is a celebrated Arts in Education (AIE) specialist and working artist having collaborated with many of our national art institutions and organizations on large-scale projects and residencies. MacKay also does Art in Public Places large scale, permanent sculpture installations.
MacKay perpetually shares her vision of the transformational qualities of creativity and art. She truly believes in the power of creativity to change lives, help solve social issues, heal hearts and build communities. In her career Jill has developed creative and arts programing for mental health rehabilitation centers, homeless and community centers. Jill spent 12 years as Artist in Residence at the Caring Place; a grieving center for children and their families who were dealing with the death of loved ones. Jill is committed to making a difference in the lives of others through creativity. Jill MacKay is a successful, inspirational, hands-on working artist, designer with a successful record of contributing to the inspiration of others. In 2018 Jill was awarded the prestigious Special Recognition Award from the Association for Creative Industries for her humanitarian efforts using the arts to help others. She was also chosen by Colorado Creative Industries to attend the Colorado Change Leader Institute.
Her main inspirations are the beauty and patterns found in nature. She lives and works from her home and studio in Bellvue, Colorado.
